Enclosed Trash Collection Point in Pier Parking Lot
There is a need to return the trash collection point back into the Pier Parking Lot. There use to be two roll-off dumpsters in the center of the back row of parking in the Pier Parking Lot. They were removed because of the visual aspects of their location. Smaller dumpsters are now located in an even more highly visible area at the foot of the Boardwalk Plaza. There is a plan being put forward to located a enclosed area to house dumpsters in the large planter area just east of the Hinds exit of the Parking Lot and adjacent to the Benson Lot. There have been offers in the past by the Boardwalk Plaza people, specifically Pierside Restaurant to fund or partially fund this improvement.
