HEADLINE NEWS - Chamber Raises Funds for 4th of July

Register now for the ninth annual Classic California Golf Invitational to be held Thursday, June 14th at Monarch Dunes. Proceeds from the golf tournament benefit projects and programs of the Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce such as the 4th of July Extravaganza held each year on the Pier in Pismo Beach. This year’s golf outing promises to be one of the best. We anticipate a full tournament and encourage golfers to register early to take advantage of the great deal for doing so, cost to play is only $100 per person if registered and paid by June 1st. If you are not a golfer there are other ways to contribute to the Classic California Golf Invitational by becoming a Hole Sponsor, offering a raffle prize or placing a promotional item in each “goody bag.” Contact the Chamber office today 773-4382 to find out how you can participate.

PRESIDENT'S REPORT - Thank You!

Wow! If you didn’t attend the Taste of Pismo at Dinosaur Caves Park, you really missed out. I would like to personally thank our City Council and city staff for their assistance in opening up Dinosaur Caves Park for our event. I would also like to thank all of the restaurants and wineries who participated by offering great food and wine to all those who attended. Most importantly, on behalf of the Board of Directors and Chamber staff I would like to thank everyone who attended the Taste. Your continued support of the Chamber and Pismo Beach business community is greatly appreciated. The feedback that we have received from the public about how wonderful the location was for the event is incredible. It was great to host the Taste at such a beautiful, showcase venue for our city. Clean Community Co-Op

The Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce operates the Clean Community Co-Op that participates in various beautification projects in Pismo Beach. For the past few years its primary function has been supervising the steam cleaning of the downtown sidewalks during the months of May, June, July, August and September. The Clean Community Co-Op was also responsible for the purchase of many of the palm trees located in the Pier Parking Lot. Just recently the Clean Community Co-Op was able to work with the City of Pismo Beach to steam clean and re-seal the stamped colored concrete that was put in by the City three years ago. The Chamber is committed to assisting in the maintenance of these downtown improvements and is looking to the business owners and operators to participate in this endeavor. A huge thank you goes out to Roger Tomasko of California Coast Candy Company for his recent donation to the Clean Community Co-Op. I was thrilled when he walked in to the Chamber office to let us know how great he thinks the freshly sealed sidewalks look and wanted to contribute to the further maintenance of them. Together we can keep Pismo Beach looking great and a place that both residents and visitors alike to come to. If you would like to make a contribution to the Clean Community Co-Op you may do so at the Chamber office. Don’t forget the golf tournament is coming up! Register your foursome soon to get in on the great savings.
