Happy Time Cooperative Preschool

Established in 1952, Happy Time is the only cooperative preschool in southern San Luis Obispo County. A cooperative preschool offers parents the opportunity to work inn the classroom alongside a paid professional in Early Childhood Education. A Board comprised of parents administers the business of the school. The paid Director/Teacher develops and administers the curriculum and children's program and supervises volunteers. Happy Time parents have the opportunity to donate much time and energy to the school by volunteering in the classroom (a membership option for those unable to volunteer in the classroom is available).
